Project: Lily Lawrence Bow Library (1939)

Description:
Historic library built in 1939 as a Work Progress Administration Project (WPA) project. A beautiful Mediterranean Revival style, one story building, featuring local oolite stone facades and historic Cuban clay tile roof supported by an elaborate exposed structural roof framing system.

Scope of work included new exterior ramp to provide handicapped accessibility from parking area, A.D.A. compliance of existing toilet rooms, restoration of interior wood finishes, restoration of historic doors and windows and clean-up of the natural oolite stone façade. The Library is now the offices for the City of Homestead Chamber of Commerce.
