Albin Polasek, a renowned 20th-century Czech-American sculptor, chose Winter Park, Florida, as his retirement home and created a beautiful paradise on the shore of Lake Osceola. Architectural Assessment Survey. A general survey that includes assessment of the existing conditions with detailed recommendations to aid in the maintenance, restoration and preservation of the historic building. The museum received a grant from Heritage Preservation’s Conservation Assessment Program (CAP) which is supported through a cooperative agreement with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
