Description:
Relocation, Stabilization, Restoration and Rehabilitation of the oldest house in the City of Kendal, Florida. A Frame Vernacular, one story Dade-County pine hipped roof structure.
The scope of restoration involved A.D.A. accessibility, removal of non-historic alterations, restoration of historical finishes, new finishes, new doors and windows, new roof, new foundations and complete structural stabilization of the existing wood framing system to meet current building code requirements. The house is currently used as popular Community Center for the local residents.
